Salesforce Brings Agentic Coding Into Slack With New Code Channels
Salesforce is bringing AI-assisted software development into the team workspace with the launch of Slack Code, a new capability that gives teams dedicated channels to work with coding agents such as Anthropic’s Claude, Cognition’s Devin, GitHub’s Copilot and Vercel’s agent. The move shifts agentic coding from individual developer sessions into a shared environment where engineers, product managers, designers and other stakeholders can participate in planning, reviewing and building software.
The launch comes as coding agents move from experimentation into enterprise workflows. Slack says customers and partners were already bringing coding agents into conversations, but the development process itself remained fragmented across terminals, IDEs and other tools.
