Rivian’s CFO is leaving after six years
Rivian’s chief financial officer Claire McDonough is leaving at the end of October after nearly six years, to take the same role at energy equipment maker GE Vernova. Volkswagen, now Rivian’s largest shareholder, has committed up to $5.8B to their joint venture with much of it still tied to technical milestones.

A deputy steps up in the meantime. Derek Mulvey, vice president of finance, becomes interim chief financial officer while the company looks for a permanent replacement.
What she oversaw is the reason to pay attention. Rivian went public on her watch, brought three vehicles to market, and signed the technology joint venture with Volkswagen Group.
