RFOXiA Picks STMicroelectronics' STM32 to Build a Long-Range, Mesh-Capable Bluetooth LE Module

RFOXiA is looking to offer competition to LoRa-based long-range low-power mesh radio systems like Meshtastic and Meshcore with its MultiNav Pro+ — a Bluetooth Low Energy module tailored for range and tested out to nearly three miles line of sight range so far.

"Joseph DiGiovanni's Magtastic, a Meshtastic node stuck to the back of a phone, is very close to the problem I have been working on, [but] from the other direction," RFOXiA founder Moamen Mohamed tells us, responding to an earlier article on long-range radio communication. "What if the phone-side radio could do the long-range part itself, with no LoRa at all?"
