Renesas has announced two new entries in its RZ/G family, targeting human-machine interface (HMI) and the edge of the Internet of Things (IoT) respectively: the RZ/G3L and RZ/G3SE, both pin-compatible.

"As industrial and IoT devices grow more sophisticated, customers need to balance performance, power consumption, connectivity and design scalability," says Renesas' Hari Pendurty in support of the latest RZ/G chips to come out of the company's research and development labs. "The RZ/G3L and RZ/G3SE were developed to help customers meet these evolving requirements and scale products more efficiently by leveraging a common hardware platform across different applications."
