Sovereignty is the word every vendor is reaching for right now, but UK enterprises aren't necessarily using it. Joanna Hodgson, who runs Red Hat's UK and Ireland business, describes the shift in language coming through customer conversations:
They don't use the language sovereignty mostly, but that same sense of: 'Am I in control of the decisions I'm taking? Can I change those decisions if my situation changes? Can I determine the standards by which my organizations within the regulations that I might need to respond to, can I determine them rather than them being forced on me from external forces?' So that level of conversation about agency, choice and control is becoming prevalent everywhere. And different from how it was just a few years ago.
