Razer Blade 18 RTX 5090 Laptop Review
Razer is often called the Apple of the gaming laptop industry. Like the MacBook Pro, the Razer Blade series is famed for being slim, stylish, powerful, and overly expensive. But does the Blade 18 with its RTX 5090 live up to that reputation, both the good and the bad, and can it compete with my favorite desktop replacement, the very similar Lenovo Legion 9i Gen 10?
The Blade configuration we received for review is an absolute beast of a gaming machine. In addition to packing Nvidia's flagship 24GB mobile GPU (175W TGP), there's a 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, 32GB of DDR5-6400, a 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and a 99Wh battery. There's also a dual-mode 240Hz/440Hz IPS display, which we'll get to later.
Thanks to the memory crunch, gaming laptops are priced like second-hand cars right now, but few are more expensive than this $5,400 machine.
