No use crying over spilled milk when US plants can't bottle it in the first place

Ransomware has soured production at Coca-Cola-owned Fairlife, forcing the dairy business to temporarily halt production at its US plants.

In an SEC filing on Thursday, Coca-Cola said Fairlife detected "unauthorized access by a third party to a portion of its systems, including its production-related systems," in what it described as a ransomware event. The company said it immediately activated its incident response and business continuity plans, brought in outside cybersecurity experts, and notified law enforcement.

Fairlife has halted production at its US plants while Coca-Cola investigates the ransomware attack, but its Canadian facilities are still running.

The business, which was fully acquired by Coca-Cola in 2020 and makes ultra-filtered milk and Core Power protein shakes, said the quality and safety of the products themselves have not been affected.
