Quectel Targets Premium 4G, Entry-Level 5G with New SH602FA and SE505FE Cellular IoT Modules

Internet of Things (IoT) specialist Quectel has announced a pair of new cellular "smart modules," one designed for premium 4G LTE devices and the other for entry-level 5G NR designs: the SH602FA and SE505FE, both compatible with Google's Android 16 operating system.

"With the SH602FA and SE505FE, we are making Android 16 available to IoT developers at both ends of the connectivity spectrum," says Quectel's Zeljko Maric of the new systems-on-modules. "Whether customers are developing high-performance industrial terminals using 4G or introducing affordable 5G connectivity into new categories of smart devices, they now have access to Android 16 in globally certifiable, production-ready smart modules that reduce design complexity and accelerate deployment."
