The battle for AI hardware is heating up, and Qualcomm just launched a direct assault on NVIDIA's dominance. The company has reached a deal to acquire Modular Inc., an AI software infrastructure startup, in an all-stock transaction that is reported to come in at roughly $3.9 billion.
