Prusa's New ColorMix Filaments Deliver Up to 105 Distinct Shades for Your FFF Prints
3D-printing pioneer Prusa Research has announced the launch of a new PLA filament family, designed specifically for blending into as many clear colors as possible via its ColorMix model on fused filament fabrication (FFF, also known as FDM) — promising 45 possible shades from five spools, or 105 by going up to the full seven spools, with improved clarity thanks to the material's partial translucency.
"ColorMix comes as a feature in EasyPrint and PrusaSlicer," Prusa's Barbora Maršíková explains, referring to an open source color-mixing platform Prusa adapted from a project called Full Spectrum.
