Petoi's Quaddle Is a Tiny, Foldable, Smart Introduction to Microcontroller-Powered Robotics
Petoi, the firm behind the OpenCat project and the palm-sized Bittle robotic dog, has opened crowdfunding for a new compact four-servo quadrupedal robot that folds flat for ease of storage and transportation: the Quaddle.
"Quaddle is the next robot to democratize access to robotics and physical AI [Artificial Intelligence]," Petoi's Rongzhong Li says of the company's latest design. "It's a palm-sized quadruped that lives on a desk or classroom table and folds flat on the go. It features a modular design and an open-source framework that connects to a wide range of thriving ecosystems. Code it from a phone or PC, drive it with a game controller, or simply tap it to interact. You can also chat with it and teach it tricks by hand (Buddy & Scout [models]). Then watch it perform surprising and playful behaviors and interact with your smart home devices."
