Peeko Raises $7 Mn To Expand Babycare Quick Commerce In Bengaluru
Peeko, a babycare-focused quick-commerce startup, is trying to bring that behaviour into an online ordering model by allowing customers to inspect products at their doorstep before deciding what to keep.
The approach could give the company a different proposition in a segment where speed alone may not be enough to build customer confidence.
Moving beyond delivery speed
Peeko allows customers to place an order through its app, after which a rider delivers the products and waits while the customer checks them. Customers can retain what they want and return the rest, with refunds processed at the doorstep.
According to Peeko, most customers use this “touch and feel” option during their first transaction, after which it helps improve retention. The company sees this combination of physical inspection and product selection as central to its model.
“Touch and feel becomes a very central proposition along with the right selection,” Sharma said.
