OutSystems Brings Governed Agentic AI to Consumer Lending Workflows

OutSystems has launched Agentic Loan Applications, a pre-built system designed to bring AI agents into consumer lending workflows while keeping lending decisions, governance and auditability under the control of financial institutions.

The offering combines customer-facing mobile and web applications, data models, governed agents and deterministic workflows. Rather than replacing existing banking systems, it is designed to sit on top of them and work within a bank’s own products, policies and technology environment.

The launch reflects a broader challenge facing banks as they move from AI pilots to operational use cases. Lending involves sensitive customer data, regulatory checks and decisions that need to be reproducible and auditable. This makes it a more demanding environment for agentic AI than many general enterprise workflows.
