Osavul raises €8.5M Series A to expand hybrid threat intelligence
Osavul, an AI startup that spots state-backed attacks before they happen, has raised €8.5M in a Series A round.
33N Ventures, a European cybersecurity fund, led the round, and it brings the total Osavul has raised to about €12m.
Balnord, G+D Ventures and earlier backer 42CAP also put in money. Osavul now runs from London and Luxembourg.
The company was founded in Kyiv in 2022, after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It began by tracking Russian disinformation for Ukrainian security bodies. It has since moved on to what it calls hybrid threats.
These are campaigns that mix cyberattacks, sabotage, spying and online manipulation. Osavul’s AI scans public and private data for early signs that a group is going after a client. It then maps those signs to the client’s staff, sites and suppliers to show where a strike could land.
