OpenAI launches ChatGPT Images 2.5 with up to 50% faster generation, precision editing, the new Sketch tool, templates and improved image fidelity.
OpenAI has officially rolled out ChatGPT Images 2.5, introducing substantial updates focused on generation speed, image fidelity, and multi-turn editing control, according to reporting by Moneycontrol. The updated image model cuts generation latency by up to 50 percent compared to Images 2.0 while delivering more natural lighting, richer textures, and enhanced subject retention when working from reference photographs.
The update introduces several interactive visual tools directly within the ChatGPT interface. A marquee feature, “Sketch,” enables users to draw rough outlines directly on screen to serve as a structural reference for the final generated image. Additionally, OpenAI has added ready-to-use templates for common formats like posters and product photos, inline image commenting to make targeted regional adjustments without altering surrounding details, and prompt-sharing options that allow users to distribute their creative workflows.
The model is rolling out across web, mobile, and desktop platforms for ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex users...
