OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Images 2.5 With Faster AI Image Generation
OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Images 2.5, its latest image model, promising faster results, finer detail and more accurate editing. The company says people now create over 3 billion images every week across ChatGPT Images and the GPT-Image models available through its API.
What has improved
Compared with Images 2.0, the new model produces more natural lighting and richer textures. It does a better job of keeping a subject recognisable when working from reference photos and follows complex instructions, layouts and visual styles more closely. It also handles transparent backgrounds and real-world content more accurately.Editing is where OpenAI says the biggest gains lie. The model follows instructions more reliably across several rounds of changes, keeps earlier edits intact and avoids the gradual loss of quality that can creep in over repeated tweaks.
