OpenAI Brings GPT-5.5 And Codex To AWS, Easing Enterprise AI Deployment
OpenAI has made its frontier models, including GPT-5.5, and its AI coding agent Codex generally available through Amazon Web Services (AWS), giving enterprise customers a new way to access and deploy advanced AI capabilities within cloud environments they already use.
The availability of OpenAI models on Amazon Bedrock and the introduction of Codex within AWS come as enterprises increasingly focus on moving artificial intelligence initiatives from experimentation to production. While access to advanced models has expanded rapidly, organisations continue to face challenges around security reviews, compliance requirements, procurement processes, and governance controls before AI projects can be deployed at scale.
