Have you watched any motorsports lately? They show you all kinds of data. MotoGP, for example, will show you throttle versus braking and it is fascinating to see those levels when a rider goes around a corner. Even more data — a lot more — is available behind the scenes to the racing teams. Now you can get the same kind of data from your RC car thanks to Open RC Spotter.
Open RC Spotter is an open source (you probably guessed that) data logger designed by Jake Wachlin of Energy Labs specifically for RC cars and other RC vehicles. You can purchase an Open RC Spotter board on Tindie for $169 (though it is out of stock right now), or you can make your own using the files available over on GitHub.
