OnePlus is taking on Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra with a 9,000mAh battery and a display that reaches 185Hz in supported games. For US buyers, however, getting one is half the challenge.

Unveiled in China on Oct. 12, the OnePlus 16 pairs a newer Snapdragon processor with a Chinese starting price equivalent to about $896. Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra starts at $1,399.99 in the US but offers two optical zoom lenses, an S Pen, and seven years of software support.

The decision comes down to more than hardware specifications. Buyers also need to consider availability, warranty coverage, software updates, and whether importing a phone is worth the potential savings.
