OnePlus 15R Gets New 16GB RAM Variant in India Amid Ongoing RAM Crunch
OnePlus has introduced a new 16GB RAM variant of the OnePlus 15R in India, bumping the phone's previous maximum RAM by 4GB.
The 15R launched with 12GB RAM paired with either 256GB or 512GB storage. Now, OnePlus offers buyers a third option: 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. All other internals remain the same: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, 6.78‑inch 165Hz AMOLED display, and 7,400mAh battery.
But it's not the RAM boost itself that's shocking, necessarily; it's its timing. The change arrives as phone brands deal with a RAM crunch and higher memory costs, which have kept quite a few 2025 and 2026 flagships at 12GB RAM at the top end.
