NXP Semiconductors has unveiled a new family of microcontrollers, the MCX A5 — designed to offer everything you need for secure connectivity to industrial edge devices, complete with a hardware root-of-trust and 10BASE-T1S support.

"Industrial edge AI [Artificial Intelligence] cannot realize its full potential without access to real-time data, requiring developers to have expertise in networking, security, software and long product lifecycles," claims NXP's Charles Dachs in support of the new parts. "That's why we're investing across our portfolio in solutions like the MCX A5 family, helping customers securely connect more devices, simplify software development and unlock the trusted data needed for intelligent edge applications."
