The internet's largest hub for acquiring open-weight AI models has been reportedly shopping itself around, and NVIDIA may just be the company to snatch it up. Hugging Face is synonymous with model distribution (and also AI-related security incidents), and is absolutely essential in the current AI ecosystem. Reportedly, this acquisition could cost NVIDIA $12.9 billion if the deal goes through.
