According to a report from The Information, the company has agreed to purchase Hugging Face for $12.9 billion. Neither company has publicly confirmed the deal; however, it is increasingly looking like an agreement has been reached.
Hugging Face has become one of the most important resources in the AI world. Its platform hosts models, datasets, and other tools used by developers and researchers, with a particular emphasis on open models. NVIDIA already has a relationship with the company, having participated in the $235 million funding round that valued Hugging Face at $4.5 billion in 2023.
