NVIDIA DGX Spark 64 GB Reduces Memory to Stem RAM Price Increases
For quite a while, it seemed like NVIDIA's DGX Spark was immune to the pricing pressures caused by skyrocketing demand for NAND and DRAM, but the times, they are a changin'. As recently as September, one could get their hands on a DGX Spark close to its launch price of $3,999. NVIDIA had listed its recommend retail price at $4,699, which isn't bad considering all the partner systems cost about a grand more than that. But that is true no longer. Today, NVIDIA announced that the DGX Spark will be trimmed back to 64 GB of LPDDR5x memory, and the price is still going up by a few hundred bucks.
NVIDIA says the 64GB version of the DGX Spark retains all the other features of its older sibling, including the ConnectX7 LAN chip with dual QSFP ports good for 200 Gbps of networking. That's going to come in clutch for...
