NVIDIA Announces End-of-Life for the Jetson AGX Xavier, Xavier NX Families
NVIDIA has announced that the entire Jetson Xavier line-up, including the Jetson Xavier NX and Jetson AGX Xavier system-on-modules, are approaching their end-of-life — and has already officially discontinued their development kit variants.
Unveiled around eight years ago, and described at the time as NVIDIA's first computer designed specifically for powering smart robotics, the Xavier modules were entries in the Jetson family of embedded systems-on-modules. The first Jetson AGX Xavier modules were joined a year later by the smaller and lower-power Xavier NX modules, dropping from an eight-core CPU and 512-CUDA/64-Tensor core Volta GPU to a six-core CPU and 384-CUDA/48-Tensor core GPU while slashing the memory in half.
