Nordic's Latest Entry-Level nRF54L Packs Bluetooth LE, Thread, Zigbee, and Matter Support
Nordic Semiconductor has announced another new entry in the nRF54L family of microcontroller system-on-chips, targeting everything from tracking tags to smart home sensors and offering Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and IEEE 802.15.4 with Thread, Zigbee, and Matter compatibility in one tiny chip: the nRF54LC10A.
"Trade-offs have often been the challenge when it comes to entry-level products," claims Nordic Semi's Øyvind Strøm in support of the company's latest launch. "The nRF54LC10A brings the protocols, advanced security, and software ecosystem of the nRF54L Series to a small, cost-sensitive device, enabling developers to build simple products without sacrificing capability."

The nRF54LC10A is built around a single Arm Cortex-M33 core running at up to 128MHz, alongside a RISC-V coprocessor running at the same speed. There's 192kB of static RAM (SRAM) on board, plus...
