Nokia and ICEYE Partner With Ukraine on Sovereign Satellite Communication
Finnish microsatellite developer ICEYE and Finnish telecoms company Nokia have announced a partnership with Ukraine's Ministry of Defence to explore developing a sovereign satellite communications system. Earlier this month, however, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk imposed a speed limit on Starlink terminals: If they traveled faster than 160 kilometers per hour, they lost connection. This disrupted many frontline operations, including medium-range strikes into Russian lines.
