New Siri Leak Shows Just How Well Apple Could Rival ChatGPT, Gemini
We've been hearing for a while now that Apple is working on a standalone Siri app with improved, AI-powered capabilities. Now, leaked screenshots of the app reveal just how well the upgraded Siri might compete with ChatGPT, Gemini, and other chatbot assistants.
The new Siri app will sit alongside existing Apple apps and serve as a central hub for text-, voice-, document-, and image‑based "conversations," Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports. Users will see a chat‑style interface with a history view of past conversations, similar to most AI chatbots out there.
"Apple has redesigned Siri for modern iPhone hardware, making it live inside the Dynamic Island as an always-on agent that can help users get things done across the operating system and within apps," Gurman writes. "The system can draw on web data, personal information, and what's on a user's screen to complete tasks."
