Netflix Adds the Ability to Stream 4K in Chrome on PC
Netflix now lets users stream 4K content through Google Chrome on PCs joining the Edge browser in this standard capability. Netflix has updated its support documentation and now lists Chrome 117 or newer versions on compatible Windows 11 as capable of reaching Ultra HD 2160p resolution, finally matching Edge.
Like streaming on TVs or other devices, streaming Netflix in 4K through Chrome means viewers have to use the Netflix Premium plan, which allows 4K streaming, and set playback quality to Auto or High. They should also be using a steady internet connection of at least 15 Mbps, as reported by Android Authority.
