NetApp validates ONTAP support for VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1
NetApp said its ONTAP data management platform has been tested and validated to support VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1, enabling customers to use the two platforms together in private and hybrid cloud environments.
The validation covers NetApp ONTAP as primary storage for VCF management and workload domains. NetApp said its support for VMware vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS) has also been tested and validated for VCF 9.1 environments, allowing customers to run virtual machines and containerised workloads on the same infrastructure.
The company said additional capabilities include backup and recovery through NetApp Console, data services for data protection, and planned datastore-granular replication and consistency-group management through ONTAP Tools for VMware.
