‘Mortal Kombat II’ Release Date: When to Stream the Video Game Movie Sequel
Get ready for a whole new round of fatalities: Mortal Kombat II is coming to streaming. The movie sequel, which hit theaters earlier this year, was written by Jeremy Slater (Supergirl, The Umbrella Academy) and helmed by Simon McQuoid, who directed the first movie released in 2021. It’s coming exclusively to HBO Max this week.
In the film, fighting champions are brought together to face off in a bloody battle to take down Shao Kahn (Martyn Ford) and save the Earth realm.
Along with the theatrical version, audiences will also be able to watch a version of the movie with American Sign Language. This interpretation is presented with Visual Vernacular, a unique form of sign language used with highly visual stories that brings together elements of ASL, mime, facial expressions and body movements.
