Microsoft has detailed its Extended Security Updates program for Windows 10 consumer devices, building on the free Windows 10 security update options it first opened to home users last year, and according to the company's official ESU page, enrolled machines will now keep receiving critical and important patches through October 12, 2027. Anyone already signed up stays covered through that date automatically, with no extra steps required.
