Meesho Acquires Kirana Club for ₹202 Crore to Enter B2B Retail

Meesho has acquired community-led B2B commerce platform Kirana Club in a transaction valued at approximately ₹202 crore, expanding its digital commerce play from consumers to small retailers across India.

The transaction provides a full exit to Kirana Club’s existing investors while retaining its founder leadership and operational continuity. Kirana Club will continue to operate independently within the Meesho group.

The acquisition gives Meesho access to Kirana Club’s network of more than 4.1 million registered retailers and creates a pathway into India’s large grocery and broader B2B retail markets.

Expanding Into the Kirana Economy

Founded in 2020 by Anshul Gupta and Aishwarya Jain, Kirana Club operates a mobile-first marketplace that allows kirana retailers to discover, compare and order FMCG and grocery products directly from brands.

The platform also enables retailers to access pricing information, product discussions and promotional schemes in local languages.
