Masters’ Union Secures University Status From Haryana Govt
Masters’ Union, the Gurugram-based institution, has secured university status in Haryana. The Haryana Legislative Assembly has passed the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2026, establishing Masters’ Union University in Gurugram. The move gives the institution a new operating framework as it looks beyond its existing management, technology, and engineering programs.
The development is significant less because another private university is being created and more because of what Masters’ Union says it wants to build around the university model: a multidisciplinary institution where entrepreneurship, industry exposure, technology, and hands-on projects form a larger part of the academic experience.

Masters’ Union was founded in 2020 with a model centered on what it calls learning by building. Instead of separating classroom learning from practical experience, the institution has positioned real projects, company building, and live industry problems as part of the learning process.
