Maharashtra backs AI-ready infrastructure as Velloe expands
Following its recent ₹100 crore investment announcement to strengthen AI infrastructure in India, US-headquartered Evolution Cloud Services (EVOCS), through its Indian entity Velloe, hosted a leadership roundtable and launch event in Mumbai, bringing together government representatives, technology leaders, enterprise customers and channel partners to discuss the country’s next phase of AI-driven digital transformation.
The event was attended by Shri Ashish Shelar, the Hon’ble Minister of Information Technology and Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra, who emphasised the growing role of artificial intelligence in governance, industry and employment while reaffirming Maharashtra’s commitment to building a technology-driven economy.
Speaking at the event, Shelar highlighted the state’s focus on accelerating AI adoption through initiatives such as the recently announced Maha AI platform, designed to improve administrative efficiency, streamline workflows and strengthen digital governance.
