LinkedIn's 'Seems Like AI Slop' Button Is Already Super Popular

LinkedIn reports strong use of its new "Seems like AI slop" button, which lets members flag posts they believe are low‑quality, AI‑generated content. The platform is the latest to offer such an option, after Pinterest, Substack, and Snapchat.

AI slop is the main reason LinkedIn sucks now, and clearly, its users have had enough. The update comes after months of complaints about generic, motivational, and buzzword‑heavy content that feels inauthentic on the platform. I, along with many others, have noticed a clear decline in how useful or interesting the site was to use.

Hari Srinivasan, LinkedIn's chief product officer, says more than one million people have clicked the button since earlier this month, and the tool has already helped reduce how much "AI slop" members see in their feeds by about 40% on average.
