Josef Prusa Celebrates 15 Years Since Slic3r's Launch with a Public Preview of PrusaSlicer 3.0

3D printing specialist Prusa Research has officially launched PrusaSlicer 3.0, its next-generation slicer software, into public preview — offering what it claims as the biggest update in the history of the software

"Today we're releasing the first public preview of PrusaSlicer 3.0. And this is a big one," claims company founder Josef Prusa. "It's the biggest upgrade in PrusaSlicer's history. We threw out the user interface completely and wrote it from scratch, driven by what our users, you, actually need. We're bringing a new project system, completely reworked profiles designed around modern multi-tool printers, better 3D scene rendering, much better performance, a safe plugin system, and much more."
