John Deere has launched JD, an AI assistant that answers plain-language questions from a farm’s own machine and field data, alongside a ten-point voluntary Farmer Data Commitment. In the EU those commitments are largely obligations under the Data Act, which also bars a manufacturer from using the data to work out what a farm is worth.
John Deere has put an AI assistant inside its farm management platform. It answers plain-language questions using a grower’s own field and machine data, Unite.AI reported.
The examples given are unusually concrete. Comparing fuel use during tillage across years, how planting singulation varied between fields, which sprayer operator covers the most acres an hour.
