Apple’s foldable iPhone Duo opens for preorder Oct. 16 and ships Oct. 23, starting at $1,999. Its new camera features are built around one idea: getting the phone’s owner into group and family photos instead of leaving them behind the lens.

Smart Take can automatically capture a group photo when everyone is posing, while Kid Cue uses animations to get children’s attention. Duo Preview lets subjects see themselves before a photo is taken, and Duo FaceTime makes video calls easier to share across the phone’s two screens.
