iOS 26 Made Safari on iPhone Worse. iOS 27 Fixes the Biggest Issue

Apple will probably release iOS 27 to the general public in a couple of weeks, but I’ve been testing the public beta version since July. iOS 27 isn’t a flashy update like its predecessor, which introduced the polarizing Liquid Glass aesthetic to the iPhone. But so far, I’ve found it to be an improvement over iOS 26 in every way.

Despite all the caveats about beta software, things are going smoothly. I’ve been running iOS 27 for a few weeks, and everything feels a little faster, even in Low Power Mode. Siri AI is miles ahead of its older versions. And while I haven’t been super annoyed by Liquid Glass, I appreciate that there’s now a slider to adjust the transparency levels.
