eCrime Doesn't Pay: Interpol recently unveiled a new enforcement effort targeting West African cybercrime gangs. These specialized criminal organizations relied on a global "support" network, which Interpol sought to dismantle completely after months of investigations and intelligence gathering.
From November 2025 to June 2026, Interpol worked to dismantle a massive network assisting cybercrime gangs based in West African nations. After the eight-month investigation, "Operation Jackal IV" led to 58 arrests and the identification of 263 alleged criminals. The operation will likely provide enough information to further expand Interpol's efforts to combat online crime.
