Intel Says It Will Launch Nova Lake on Desktop First, Not Data Center
Intel has said it will launch its next-generation Nova Lake CPUs on desktop first, not the data center. This appears to be part of a continued push to reconnect with the enthusiast community, which has felt left out by Intel's recent CPU offerings—and the PC component industry at large—as many companies pivot to data center hardware for higher margins and more consistent orders.
In an interview with Tom's Hardware, Intel VP Robert Hallock said the brand was "very serious" about executing on its Enthusiast roadmap, and that part of that meant ensuring the next-generation architecture was announced for consumer desktop PCs first, not data centers.
