Info Edge Names Sanjeev Bikhchandani CEO as Hitesh Oberoi Exits

Info Edge, the parent company of Naukri.com, has announced on October 28, 2026, that Hitesh Oberoi will step down as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer on December 2, ending nearly 27 years in a full-time executive role, including more than 16 years at the helm.

Founder Sanjeev Bikhchandani will take over as Executive Vice Chairman, Managing Director and Group CEO from December 3, subject to shareholder approval. His proposed term will run until April 26, 2031.

The announcement coincided with Info Edge's second-quarter FY27 results, making the leadership change significant for a company navigating AI-led changes in recruitment, expanding digital businesses and its investments in India's startup ecosystem.

Oberoi Steps Back After 27 Years

Oberoi, who joined Info Edge around the turn of the millennium, has overseen much of the company's expansion beyond its flagship recruitment platform, Naukri.
