India’s Digital Faith Economy Gathers Pace as InstaAstro’s $12M Round Reflects Rising Investor Interest
India’s vast faith economy is increasingly acquiring a digital layer, as startups take services such as astrology consultations, poojas and spiritual commerce online. The country’s broader religious and spiritual market has been estimated at around $58.6 billion, while the astrology-app segment is expanding rapidly.
According to an August 2026 report by MarkNtel Advisors, India’s astrology-app market is projected to grow from about $390 million in 2026 to $2.32 billion by 2032, at a CAGR of 34.61%. Platforms are also adding AI-assisted features, regional-language support and digital payments as they look to widen access beyond traditional offline channels.
