Indian Tech Professionals With AI Skills See Salaries Double, Says Scaler

India's technology job market is undergoing a major shift as artificial intelligence skills increasingly determine who gets hired, promoted, and paid more, according to a new placement assessment report released by Scaler.

The report, independently assessed by B2K Analytics, analysed outcomes of 12,851 professionals who completed Scaler's Modern Software & AI Engineering and Data Science & ML with AI Specialisation programmes between 2023 and 2025. It found that professionals who strengthened their AI and engineering fundamentals more than doubled their median salaries as hiring patterns across the tech sector evolved.

Median post-programme compensation rose from ₹8.7 lakh to ₹20 lakh annually, a 104% increase, while average salaries climbed 147%, from ₹11.4 lakh to ₹23.9 lakh. The top 25% of learners secured average compensation packages exceeding ₹45 lakh. Of the 12,851 learners who completed the programmes, 11,444 secured placements, resulting in an overall placement rate of 89%.
