Indian employees are embracing artificial intelligence (AI), but many organizations have yet to integrate it into the systems where work actually happens, according to new research released by Workday.
The report, The Copy/Paste Economy: Why Task-Oriented AI Is Failing the Enterprise in India, found that 89% of Indian employees say AI has improved their day-to-day work experience. However, only 32% say AI is embedded into their organization's core business systems, limiting its ability to improve enterprise-wide productivity.
The study, based on a survey of 200 professionals in India, suggests that while AI tools are helping employees complete individual tasks faster, fragmented enterprise workflows continue to reduce overall efficiency.
