Indian Embassy in Jakarta Launches AI Avatar Dewi
Jakarta: The Embassy of India in Jakarta has introduced an AI avatar named Dewi, aimed at making information about India easier to find for people in Indonesia. The avatar will share updates on Indian culture, travel, scholarships, business, investment opportunities and consular services, as part of a wider effort to strengthen public outreach and deepen ties between the two countries.
The embassy announced the launch in a post on X on Tuesday, presenting Dewi as its new AI face. It said stories and updates from across the India-Indonesia partnership would now be brought closer to the public, and invited people to follow its account and say hello to Dewi.
India’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Sandeep Chakravorty, also shared the initiative on X. He tied the launch to the festive season, saying Dewi was there to guide her followers on the occasion of Navaratri and Durga Puja.
