I'm normally a fan of Hori, but this is one of the worst controllers I've ever tested

The Horipad for Steam controller is comfortable and has some neat features, such as its pressure-sensitive triggers and full Steam integration. It'd be a worthwhile Steam Controller alternative, were it not for the cheap, hollow build and listless feel during play. If you're looking for a dedicated PC controller, I'd strongly consider just saving up a bit and buying the Steam Controller instead. Or, you know, any other PC-compatible controller. Which is 99% of them.

Pros

  • +Seamless integration with Steam
  • +Sits comfortably in the hands
  • +Cool pressure-sensitive triggers

Cons

  • -Middling battery life
  • -Cheap build quality
  • -Shoddy d-pad
  • -Fiddly Bluetooth connectivity
  • --'Touch capacitive' sticks are a terrible idea
