I’m Begging You to Talk to People Instead of Using Apple’s Audio Intelligence
At Apple’s Surprise and Shine event on Wednesday, Sept. 9, the tech giant unveiled its next lineup of devices, which includes the foldable phone, dubbed the iPhone Duo, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, the Apple Watch Series 12 and the Apple Watch Ultra 4. It also unveiled a new batch of Apple Watch features it’s calling Audio Intelligence, aiming to provide audio information from your surroundings directly on your Apple Watch.
Unless you have a medical need for Audio Intelligence, please, just talk to people.
Apple says Audio Intelligence is a way to help you “stay present and engaged in conversations throughout the day.” Apple writes that Sound Recognition could be used to help alert deaf people to doorbells, sirens and more, and all of that is great and sounds genuinely helpful.
My gripe is with the other Audio Intelligence features.
