'I'm a little conflicted': I tested the Roku Pro Series OLED TV for two weeks, and while it's a good affordable way into OLED, it's lacking some key features that I enjoy
Having an affordable OLED TV like the Roku Pro Series OLED TV is having a TV that comes with some trade-offs. Of course, you get deeper blacks on-screen, but the brightness (par for the course with budget OLED) and colors are not quite as brilliant. However, it comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and tool-less setup — and occasionally gets some huge price cuts that make it really good value.
Reasons to buy
- +Affordable way to get an OLED TV
- +Pretty deep blacks
- +Tool-less setup
- +120Hz refresh rate
Reasons to avoid
- -No hands-free control
- -Sound quality a little worse than previous Roku Pros
